Elden Ring: Nightreign's new major DLC, "The Forsaken Hollows," has officially been revealed.

Elden Ring: Nightreign's new major DLC, "The Forsaken Hollows," has officially been revealed. Announced during Sony's State of Play livestream, the new expansion is set to launch on December 4, 2025.

Fans were excited to see a new trailer showcasing familiar faces and, more importantly, a lineup of new and returning bosses. Among them is the highly anticipated Artorias from Dark Souls, a fan-favorite character that players have long wished to see. Other challenging foes include the Dancing Lion, previously seen in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, and a new field boss version of the Gladius Nightlord.

The DLC also introduces two new playable characters. The first is the Scholar, an academic known for high arcane levels and "incredible advantages through battlefield observation." The second is the Undertaker, an abbess who combines strength and faith to "send enemies to the afterlife with ruthless efficiency."

Players can also look forward to a new Shifting Earth event called "The Great Hollow." This area promises exotic temples, ancient ruins, and menacing crystals that release a cursed, life-draining mist. It sounds quite similar to the Ancient Ruins of Rauh from Shadow of the Erdtree. Mysterious holy knights wielding golden spears were also glimpsed, adding to the intrigue.

The official Elden Ring social media account shared a cryptic message: "In our war against the Night, every battle left a scar. These wounds were given will. A foul life, born of cast-away souls. Steel your resolve, Nightfarers. This hunt must be seen to its end." The tweet confirms the December 4, 2025 launch.

This announcement comes shortly after FromSoftware's parent company, Kadokawa, hinted at another Nightreign DLC for March next year. Despite this, "The Forsaken Hollows" is great news for Nightreign, a game that quickly gained popularity, attracting over 3.5 million players within its first week.
