Capcom Fan Turns Pragmata's Fake Website Into a Resident Evil Meme Hub
A clever Pragmata player has taken a fictional website domain from inside the game and brought it to life, filling it with funny Resident Evil memes, especially featuring Albert Wesker.
While exploring Pragmata's digital New York City, players might spot a billboard mentioning 'aweskerproduction dot com'. It turned out this domain was available when the game launched. So, a Russian Pragmata fan decided to claim it.
If you visit the real 'aweskerproduction.com', you'll find a scrolling collection of Resident Evil memes and visual jokes. These include Wesker removing his shades only to reveal another pair, and Albert Wesker posing with Hello Kitty. Other Resident Evil characters also appear, like Chris Redfield mid-boulder punch and Leon Kennedy with funny distorted faces.
Alexander Trisvyatsky, the site owner, told that he bought the domain after seeing it in the game and created the website in just minutes. "I don't have big plans for the domain," Trisvyatsky said. "This is just a one-time project. I want to be clear that I'm just a regular fan, not a scammer. There are no ads, and I'm not asking for donations – I just wanted to have some fun, and it looks like people are enjoying it."
According to Trisvyatsky, the website had 45,000 views by this morning. He also praised Capcom, saying, "I respect and love Capcom's games. If they ever ask, I'll transfer the domain to them immediately. Great respect to Capcom for continuing to localize their games into Russian, including voice acting – Russian-speaking players truly appreciate this and are grateful."
Pragmata itself is very popular, selling over a million copies just two days after launch. Hopefully, Capcom lets this fan-made site continue.
